About Time...

It is about time I got the time to update you all on what is going on!
1. Tab-Top Tote - Well I still am not sure what I should do but I am no longer stressing over it. I took a few deep breaths and decided that I could fix this problem....I'm still not sure how, but at least I know now it can be done.
2. 1st Time Socks - I am still not very far on my first pair (HA! A pair, I'll be lucky if I get one done)of socks...I will have a picture to show off soon...I promise.
3. Pin Cushion - I found this really cute pattern for a pincushion on the mother of all pattern sites Knitting Pattern Central. I am now on my second layer. I just noticed that that webpage is having some trauma. Here is another pattern that looks a lot like the one I found Knit Pincushion. I will have a picture of this up soon as well.
Sorry to be a little behind in my posts I have been so busy with school and work (I just started substitute teaching).

Not Very Happy :(

Here is my Tab-Top Tote all finished. You will notice that it doesn't have a strap, well that is because I made a mistake in the pattern. Do you see how there are three tabs in the front and back and one on each side, well that is wrong. I was off 4 stitches (I don't know how) when I bound off along the top and made the tabs. Now my strap won't fit in the bag right. I am so upset. I'm not sure how I am going to fix this little problem.

This is what the tabs should look like....Crappy huh?!?! I was off by 4 flippin' stitches!!! I thought maybe I could reblock the bag, but there would be to much of a twist toward the bottom. What do you all think I should do? Posted by Hello

Step One...Done!

I have finished the bag part on my Tab-Top Tote . Now I am working on the 68" of I-Cord that I have to make. Before I felt this bad boy I will measure it (something I have never done to my felted objects) and put the before and after up. I am very happy with how it turned out. Because I made the inside bottom piece out of another yarn a have a little bit of one scane left. I think I am going to make a little cell phone holder for a lady that I promised a gift to a long time ago! Posted by Hello

Socks, socks, socks...

Okay, I finally got up the nerve to buy some sock yarn from Knit Picks. I got some simple stripes in Snapdragon. NOW, I need help! I need to find a simple "starter" sock pattern to make. I am a novice at this sock thing. I have a set of size 3 DPN's but it I have to get something else I will. Please help if you can!!!

PS: I do have the book The Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook: Dyeing, Painting, Spinning, Designing, Knitting and I think it is wonderful, but it is a little overwhelming for the first time sock knitter...Let me know what you all think I should do!

Tab-Top Tote Picture

Here is the first picture of my "Tab-Top Tote." I love all of the colors that are coming from this yarn!!!

As you can see I have used a different yarn for the inside of the bottom of the bag (it is doubled). I was a little afraid that I may run out of yarn so I made the inside-bottom out of that Lambs Pride that I have used for everything. I am hoping that it will felt up about the same as the Noro. Cross your fingers! Posted by Hello
