Knitting Goddess

"You appear to be a Knitting Goddess.
You are constantly giving and are unconcerned with
reward, you simply want others to love knitting
as much as you do. If someone wants to knit
miles of novelty yarns, you are there for them.
If someone wants to learn short row shaping,
you can help. There are no taboos in knitting,
only opportunities to grow. Everyone should
have friend like you around if they want to
learn to knit, and there's a good chance that
your passion has rubbed off on a few others."

And my Secret Pal is.....

CHRISTINE LONG AKA "The Knitting Virgin" I seriously had the best pal ever, Christine amazed me with every gift because as soon as they were opened I said "Oh my gosh, how did she know I wanted this?!?!" EVERY TIME, she never failed me!!!! Not to show off my last goodie box!

WOW!!! That was all I could say when I opened the box!!! I will go through everything:

I am in love with this book: Exquisite Little Knits This book is so cool it show you what to do with all of those hard to use specialty yarns...LOVE IT!!!
Next was this wonderful card making kit and a mini flower press. I love making cards, this is so perfect for me!

Then there was this beautiful ball (already rolled for me!) of Artyarns Handpaint Striped in colorway 111. This stuff is so pretty...I think I am going to make some fingerless gloves with it! yummy!

Isn't this fun! It is a handle that you can fill with beads or yarn and attach to your finished bag! Now I just have to decide witch bag to put it on...hummm?!?!?!

Last but not least is this great "Two Old Bags" patterns for a purse, clutch, coin purse, felted flower pin and regular flower pin. Sorry for the crummy picture! I love this pattern, I was just thinking the other day that I should get it...I really do think Chistine is psychic!

I just want to say thank you to my KRSP3, Christine. You were so wonderful, you picked out gifts for me that even my family couldn't have picked out. Thank you so much, I wish I could say that a 1000 times! Thank you so much!!!!

"Boy Did I Ever Have Fun!"

I had so much fun tonight!!! I went to the Stitch Cafe in Valley Village (North Hollywood) CA with my friends Janet and Christy. When we got there we met up with Christy's mom Sue and her sister Melissa. We had so much fun! Here we all are with the shop owner Lisi. I am in the pink and purple, Janet is in the tan, Christy is in the light green (looks blue-ish in the picture), Sue is in the Christmas Green, Melissa is in the black with the white stripes down the arm, and Lisi is in the black and white striped top!

I totally made out like a bandit!

I got three balls of Rowan Big Wool, to make some great chunky hats!

A hank (or is that a skein, Janet just told me the difference and I don't remember) of some wonderful hand dyed wool for a cabled hat that I saw at their store and on the Stitch Cafe website.

Two skeins of Cascade to make the adorable Circle Purse my SP got me!

And two great Pick Up Sticks patterns!

Everything came in a great big green bag and I even got a free pen! I had a blast!!!
